Privacy policy
How we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to Best Future Network Limited (ABN 64 703 583 948, ACN 703 583 948), a company registered in Victoria, Australia, and to the website bestfuturenetworktec.online. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Best Future Network Limited.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in that Act, to the extent they apply to us.
2. What personal information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities. This may include:
- your name, business name and email address;
- details you choose to give us about your premises, equipment and network requirements;
- records of our correspondence with you;
- billing details where you become a customer.
In the course of providing network or IT support, we may have incidental access to information stored on your systems. We do not copy, use or disclose that information except as needed to carry out the work you have asked for.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act. You may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where that is practicable, although we generally need a name and email address to respond to an enquiry or provide services.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you email us, use the enquiry form on our website (which opens your own email program), or engage us to provide services. Where we receive personal information we did not ask for, we will deal with it in accordance with APP 4.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare quotes;
- plan, deliver and support the services you engage us for;
- issue invoices and manage our business records;
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We will only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and every such email will include a way to opt out.
5. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to service providers who help us run our business, such as email and hosting providers, accountants and equipment suppliers, where this is needed to deliver our services. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. We require these parties to handle personal information appropriately.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of the email and hosting services we use may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps in line with APP 8 to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
7. Cookies and analytics
This website is a static site. We do not set cookies, run analytics or tracking scripts, or use advertising tools on it. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and operational purposes.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When we no longer need personal information for any purpose permitted under the APPs, and are not required by law to keep it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
9. Access and correction
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing, as required by the APPs.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at [email protected] and describe your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Details are available on the OAIC website at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
